On May 9, 2000 the Interstate Big Draw Lottery jackpot stood at $363 million. A Michigan couple Larry and Nancy Ross thought they had missed out but re-checked their $5 ticket the next day and found that they had won $181.5 million while the other winner was Joe Kainz who took home the rest.
